Perseverance is a trait that people must develop in order to grow and learn.  When it comes to fishing, the best fishermen understand how crucial it is to have a high level of perseverance. Fishing for lake trout can test that level, even with the most experienced fishermen.  A lake trout's feeding habits can change at the drop of a hat. You may have a spot that seems as though it should be exploding with trout but, no matter how many times you keep going back to it, you just can't seem to get a bite. Then all of a sudden for a couple hours or so, you can't seem to get them off your bait! Then, just as quickly, they stop again. The key to fishing for this species is the to "stay home" with those fish! Stick to that spot if you know they're there.  They'll
have to get hungry at some point!
