Water clarity means everything when it comes to finding fish. In dirtier water, fish tend to be shallower, and tend to bite better during the day. In clearer water, weeds grow deeper and fish often seem to hold in depths where light levels become low. Clear-water fish tend to move shallower and bite well as light levels above the water change rapidly. There are other factors, and exceptions, but in many ways, water clarity rules!
